Weekend Fun at Tanglewood
From our biggest holiday celebrations to quiet weekends on the mountain, there's always a good time to be had.
Here's what we have planned for the 2026 season!

May
First Campfire of the Season
May 1-3
Gather 'round for our first big community bonfire of the year. We'll light up the night with our classic community bonfire.
Mother's Day Celebration
May 8-10
We're celebrating Mom with a flower bar and a free breakfast. Treat Mom to a special weekend featuring a beautiful flower bar and a free breakfast just for her.
"The Great Outdoors" Weekend
May 15-17
Your perfect excuse to simply unplug and relax. This is a quiet weekend with no scheduled activities. Just enjoy the peace of the mountain.
Memorial Day Weekend
May 22-25
The classic start to summer! Join our parade, BBQ, and more. A patriotic weekend full of fun, featuring a bike/golf cart parade, volleyball, and a community BBQ.
Thanksgiving
May 29-31
Our camp family's Thanksgiving... in May! Bring a dish to share. We're having a full Thanksgiving Potluck.
August
Easter in August
July 31-Aug 2
The Easter Bunny is coming to the mountain for our famous egg hunts! We're hosting traditional Easter egg hunts for both kids and adults.
Kangaroos!
Aug 7-9
Yes, you read that right! Come and pet a kangaroo. A special animal encounter right at the campground where you can pet a kangaroo!
Neon Glow Weekend
Aug 14-16
Light up the night with our glow-in-the-dark parade, games, and dance party! Guests decorate golf carts and clothing with glow sticks for a glow-in-the-dark cornhole tournament, glow parade, and an evening dance party in the Lodge.
The Great Tanglewood Cook Off
Aug 21-23
Think you're the best camp cook? Prove it at our friendly cook-off! A friendly competition (with prizes!) to see who makes the best camp food.
"Nature's Retreat" Weekend Aug 28-30 Your last chance of the summer to just unwind with no agenda. This is a quiet weekend with no scheduled activities. Just enjoy the peace of the mountain.
June
Wild West Weekend
June 5-7
Put your boots on for a Tex-Mex cookoff and rodeo games! Join our Tex-Mex cookoff, Beef Roast, and watch the seasonals with the Golf Cart Rodeo.
Ice Cream Social
June 12-14
Build your own sundae at our classic ice cream social. We'll provide the ice cream and toppings for you to make a delicious ice cream sundae.
Father's Day Fishing Tournament
June 19-21
A friendly fishing tournament for dads and kids on our 5-acre lake. A fun weekend for dads and kids, centered around our fishing tournament.
Trading Post
June 26-28
One camper's junk is another's treasure! A community-focused trading and yard sale event right at the campground.

Labor Day
Sep 4-7
One last big summer bash! Join us for a full weekend of fun. A classic Labor Day celebration to say goodbye to summer.
Soup Social + 1st Responders
Sep 11-13
Join our potluck-style social as we honor local first responders. A potluck-style social where we come together to honor our local first responders.
Tanglewood's Got Talent

Got a hidden talent? Share it with your camp family at our talent show! A showcase for all the hidden talents in our campground community.

4th of July
July 3-5
Celebrate with old-fashioned field day games and a watermelon contest! A classic 4th of July celebration with field day games and a messy watermelon eating contest.
Cardboard Boat Regatta
July 10-12
Will it float? Build a boat with just cardboard and tape and find out! A hilarious and creative race where campers build a small boat out of only cardboard and duct tape.
Christmas in July
July 17-19
Break out the tinsel and the swim trunks for our "Tropical Christmas" party. We're celebrating the holidays early with a fun "Tropical Christmas" theme.

Halloween Weekend I
Oct 2-4
Get spooky! Our first Halloween weekend features trick-or-treating and a costume parade. The Monster Mash begins! Get your costumes ready for trick-or-treating and a costume parade.
Halloween Weekend II
Oct 9-11
More frights and fun! Decorate for our "Spookiest Site" contest. The Fright Fest continues with our "Spookiest Site" contest and more trick-or-treating.
Fall Finale & Farewell Bonfire
Oct 16-18
Help us close out the season with one last giant community bonfire. We'll say goodbye to the 2026 season with our final farewell bonfire.
